This link gives a few examples of how the society has helped in the promotion of Stockhausen's muaic.
A student came from Manchester University see for himself the scores of the plus minus and equal signs used in some works such as Spiral and Pole. He was convinced that these scores were the work of a crazy guy.
He was able to listen to Roger Smalley, with Tim Souster and Peter Britton. explain how to set up the radio and operate it with foot controls and describe the way they reacted to the signs, They performed Expo for 3 in such a way that it was almost transparent in the way the sound were transformed according to the signs.
He was also able to hear Smalley again, showing how he dealt with the nine minus signs in the piano part of Prozession. He went away very impressed.

An electronic music fan heard about Octophonie. Arriving at 5pm he listened to
it 4 times in succession, read waht information was available, heard some more
CDs - namely Der Jahreslauf, Lucifers Dance and went to bed. When I arrived next
morning, he was listening to Octophonie yet again and the following weekend went
to Cologne where it was being played in an auditorium under the direction of
Stockhausen.
